The Road 03:22
I found you wandering the road, last night, I took you home and you lay next to the fire. I saw you running through the field, last night Moonlight shining off your hair Like a vision from another age A portrait painted in glass And ooh, the rusting river flows away And ooh, I heard you died the other day An old light shines upon your porch, every night It takes me back to where we'd been And if for once I see past the static I know I'd never go home And ooh, the rusting river flows away And ooh I heard you died the other day.

It took so long to do what's right, And now I have, I find it, Oh so sweet. 'Cos since I found the courage And pushed down the doubt The rest Fell at my feet Oh, Oh, Oh boy you know, I've found you baby, And I want to find more Oh, Oh, Oh boy you know, I've found you baby, And I want to find more I found it long, And such a struggle baby, But finding you was oh so, Oh so sweet. And leaving life, Behind baby, Made this new one feel, So complete Oh, Oh, Oh boy you know, I've found you baby, And I want to find more Oh, Oh, Oh boy you know, I've found you baby, And the feelings grow I found you boy I want to find out more A pretty face That I want to explore Oh, Oh, Oh boy you know, I've found you baby, And I want to find more Oh, Oh, Oh boy you know, I've found you baby, And the feelings grow

I found my thrills on Blueberry Hill On blueberry Hill, when I found you. Tte moon stood still on Blueberry Hill And lingered until all of your dreams came true. On blueberry Hill, oh on Blueberry Hill I found my thrills, when i found you. The wind and the willow play loves melody But all of these vows you made were never for me I found my thrills, on blueberry hill And it lingered until all of your dreams came true. The wind and the willow play loves melody but all of these vows you made were never for me. I found my thrills on blueberry hill It lingered until all your dreams came true.

Come on, you should already know the words to this one.

Tidal waves don’t beg forgiveness Crashed and on their way Father he enjoyed collisions; Others walked away A snowflake falls in may. And the doors are open now As the bells are ringing out Cause the man of the hour is taking his final bow Goodbye for now. Nature has its own religion; Gospel from the land Father ruled by long division, Young men they pretend Old men comprehend. And the sky breaks at dawn; Shedding light upon this town They’ll all come ‘round Cause the man of the hour is taking his final bow Goodbye for now. And the road The old man paved The broken seams along the way The rusted signs, left just for me He was guiding me, love, his own way Now the man of the hour is taking his final bow As the curtain comes down I feel that this is just goodbye for now.

about

The Rusty Blues UK

We are a jazzy bluesy souly fourpiece from Southampton. While we're all still at college, we find time to gig around our hometown and spread our music - a combination of influences such as The Beatles, Louis Armstrong, Billie Holiday and Led Zeppelin.

We've been called 'Old school', 'Female fronted acoustic grunge-blues', 'a bit good' and 'consistent... staggeringly mature'.
